Frequently Asked Questions

What types of training do you offer?

I offer in-home training sessions and board & train programs focused on real-world behavior, obedience, and problem-solving. I also offer Take Out Experiences where I take your pup out to different parks, stores, etc, to work on socializing and obedience!

What Kinds of issues do you help with?

Everything from puppy basics and manners to behavioral challenges like reactivity, fear, anxiety, or aggression.

Which program is right for my dog?

In-home lessons are great for hands-on training, but they do require you to have the availability to work with your dog consistently throughout the week.

Board and Trains are a great option for busy owners to get their dog “up to speed.” It still requires consistency to maintain training skills, but I will be able to lay the foundation for you to keep going. At the end of the board and train, there will be a “go home” lesson to show you all of your dog’s new skills!

There are pros and cons to each, and you don’t have to do one or the other exclusively!

How many sessions will my dog need?

Every dog learns differently, but most clients see noticeable improvement within the first few sessions. I’ll give you an estimate after our first lesson. Progress will depend on your consistency between lessons! How many sessions will also depend on your individual goals and expectations.

What is your training philosophy?

I’m a relationship-based, heavily reward-based trainer. My goal is to strengthen communication and trust between you and your dog through clear guidance and positive reinforcement. I believe every dog and owner is unique, so having a toolbox of methods allows me to find what works best for each team.
